About Val Walton

I am a native Delawarean artist and have been enjoying painting professionally over the last ten years. I primarily use heavy body acrylics on canvas or multi-media paper. Many of my sunset paintings are inspired by tropical paradises such as Hawaii, Key West and Mexico. In 2022, I added a new ‘Sunflower Series’ featuring brightly colored sunflower paintings. The painting titled ‘Sunflower with Fence’ was uniquely painted using a pallet knife, giving it a thick 3-D texture. In the Fall of 2022, I debuted a new ‘Black and White Palm Series’!  I am very excited to share all of these items with you and truly appreciate all the support from family, friends and supporters!

Val is now listed in the Delaware Artists Roster, managed by the Delaware Division of the Arts. She is listed under Category: Visual, Discipline: Painting and Drawing.  Val is a member of the  First State Craft Guild, Newark Arts Alliance, Rehoboth Art League, and Center for the Creative Arts.  Her artwork may also be found in the newly opened ‘The Little Treasure Shop’ in Newark, Delaware.
